Oof: "I see what they lost. The adage is opportunity is what we make of it. So too what it makes of us. Opportunity is the dead elephant in the room. What to make of so much grey."
Not sure yet what I‘ll think about this, but I‘ll think of this. You might be right I fear…what if the elephant is dead.
"I laugh in the memory of the agony of the memory I was remembering." Only one person on the planet can write like this. Beautiful art as always, both the writing and the photos. Be good, or as you have demonstrated, be good at it, my brother.
…it is a secretly confoundingly beautiful bat wasteland filled with all types of trash and amazement…if you ever do make it this way will happily hike you to one of its many wonders…
“It is the month of Mary and our mothers. Mary queen of heaven. Ask and she shall deliver. It initially feels selfish to request anything, isn’t the point of catholicism confirming my guilt? Well I am guilty of that selfishness as well.”
Offfttt. Loved it.
The photos too, swear you live in half paradise, half wasteland. Every week you have the most amazing photos, the structure thing in the water and the keep out sign are my favourite from this time.
…great ad for Oakland right there…half paradise half wasteland…appreciate the specific photo mentions, always awesome to know what appeals to others…thank you so much for being here…
Pleasure. I’ve been trying to figure out what it is about your writing I like so much… I think it’s because it doesn’t feel ‘online,’ this is undoubtedly encouraged by the photos but it’s not just that, it’s the style of writing and the transitions too.
I’m doing a fair bit of thinking on online v offline spaces atm and there’s something lo-fi (in a great way) about this, even though it’s using a lot of online medium and is technically solid.
Beautiful words and photos. I hope there are more [real] opportunities coming your way. It's so difficult to say the things you've said here. I'm also waiting to hear back about some opportunities. They seem farther and fewer in between these days. Sending hope to you!
...appreciate it very much Jeremy...passing back hopefulness to you as well...this really was a challenging one to write (the photos far less challenging, definitely more fun), but it did help me process a bunch of feelings i couldn't get past...hopefully that unlocks more of me...or more opportunities...the era of abundance might just be abundant existential laughter...hopefully more magical though...
I f*ing love your photography.
...@#%$ing appreciate it!...
And I appreciate your fantastical mind and how it navigates truth, vision and reality!
…super appreciative Chao…i think that is hopefully what a lot of this is…an attempt to know what i know about myself…and improvement thereafter…

...and even if it is alive and well, should we be putting elephants inside of rooms?...

Stunning photography. I am still thinking what to make of the opportunity of having opened this page... much to digest, as always <3
Also, I now have an inexplicable desire to visit Oakland
[... random fact: my bedframe is from a place called Oakland Furniture - the shop didn't look like this]

I’m going to mull over this more.
…sounds like an excellent topic…happy to rap on it anytime…
The narration does it for me. 😂 And the music? 🤌
…thank you Matthew…it is starting to become my preferred method for delivery (though I do love adding the photos)…
