...i'll give it a shot Rick though the one time i was a teacher professionally the kids almost convinced me to do drugs with them and instead of doing SAT training i had us watch 2001 and Soul Plane and write an essay comparing them from a theorist perspective...
Let me guess, the administration fast-tracked your exodus, but there are now a handful of kids out there in the world who consider you the most memorable and best teacher of their lives.
...i left to deliver juice over the summer then ended up in oakland promoting chocolate covered dried fruit at raiders games...the kids all graduated (though about 10% ended up in prison - not my doing)...and in the end i think most of them enjoyed be about as much as you can a 22 year old italian deli hippy brought in mid semester to replace the teacher who had previously been sleeping with some of the kids in the class...this all sounds so odd to say out loud but it really happened...chicago, what a weird town...
