Same for me! but in both cases, I was struck with their ability to capture such a specific kind of dread around internet and TV. They totally crushed the 90’s energy in this one — chef’s kiss. Happy to hear you’re an appreciator too!

…do we even rebel anymore…thought this was a fun fact today…Robot is drawn from an old Church Slavonic word, robota, for “servitude,” “forced labor” or “drudgery.”…i didn’t really like the movie but bleak and interesting was the ending to A.I. whereupon a robot boy who wanted to be human accepted a wish to live his happiest day, a simulation, while his robot teddy bear companion sat next to him ready to serve his needs…the end game of all our machining might be sad robots dreaming inside of eachother pining for us long gone and never truly coming back…
